E-mail him and you might get lucky, if he had extras left over. [...] The Tailor Of The Year Award goes to...PAT GRIFFIN! Yes, it's true, the rumours you hear are confirmed: there now exists a Ytsejam shirt that features... I'm so excited I can hardly type it... COLOR!!! Yes, color. These shirts are top of the rock, and were even available in XXXL for some of my fatter friends back home. Message-ID: <2.2.32.19961020160738.006cd474@enteract.com> Well, yesterday was Sweetest day... the mother of Hallmark Holidays. Of course being male, I had no clue that I almost caused a problem (the GF was on her way over before I even woke up in the morning. Lo and behold when she gets there she has a box of Fanny May meltaways and a sweetest day card in hand. At first I was confused... and then I remembered... my Ytsejam shirts arrived the night before, and I ordered one for her! So I casually walk up to my room and got her the shirt as though "I planned it this way" Heh heh heh... Pat, good timing. Great shirt too. The shirt looks like your run of the mill "It says DT on it! I have to buy it!" shirt... except that it's artwork made only for this shirt, and the back says ytsejam@ax.com on it among other things. This will be the coolest shirt at the G3 concert and the next DT concert. Also, I guarantee that wearing a ytsejam shirt to one of their shows will increase the chance of getting backstage. Buy them soon... and buy them often! Date: Sun, 20 Oct 1996 14:56:38 -0400 (EDT) From: Rick Audet <ytse@cris.com> To: ytsejam@ax.com Subject: Help Pat Griffin and Join the Club. Message-ID: <199610201856.OAA24489@cliff.cris.com> I forgot to mention that I got my YsteJam T-shirt form Pat Griffin the other day. Let me be honest with you....I haven't bought a "concert" t-shirt in years, because I thought I'd grown out of them. But due to my overwhelming fascination with you-know-whom, I figured "what the heck." Pat mentions in his Web ad that his shirts are "near" concert quality. No Way! His shirts, IMO, are FAR BEYOND concert T quality, and well worth the $16 plus shipping. The tee is Fruit Of The Loom "Loftees", which is super-thick fabric with high quality stitching. Don't get me wrong, it's not a sweatshirt, but if only all my tees were as nice. When was the last time you went to a show and bought a shirt for under $20? And another thing, I got an XL, but was worried that it might be a bit too small. I'm not a huge guy, but I've often found that XL's shrink big-time into something that no longer fits well. Pat's XL's are definitely big, with shrinkage room to spare (for those of you who wash clothes using hot water). I also think that Pat has done a great service to us all by fronting a load of cash to put together this t-shirt project. He didn't have to do it, and in turn, ended up with the Official YsteCon III tee, and something for those who are just proud to be on the 'Jam and a part of such an influential community. Another comment on Pat's work ethic: I really liked how well coordinated everything was. He posted regular updates about the status of the job, whether he got your cash or not, when he shipped, etc. Very professional. So, my advice to you, if you haven't done so already, is to get a YtseJam tee before they're all gone. You can definitely count me in for the next Reality 2 Design creation, if there ever is one. They are killer quality. I was rather pleasantly surprised by the heaviness of the fabric. I don't know how many times I've bought concert shirts that wore thin after the first few washes. And the design does look better than a number of concert t's I've seen. Great job, Pat, and also, thanks for the updates and stuff. It's cool to see someone that takes something like this seriously, and follows through with everything and stuff. Way to go, man. I have shoulders that are almost 2ft wide, I do way to much weights, and the damn thing fits and looks so kewl. My room-mate is now pondering getting one, so another order could be on the way. Ever thought of going into the clothing business, with these types of design and the actual quality man. Anyways, thanx again for the effort you have put it to make these shirt possible.
